Dark Roast Hojicha Powder
Roasted much further than our Hojicha Powder "Kaori", this powder has a deep, smoky flavour with notes of vanilla and warm charcoal, and a sweetness underneath that keeps it from turning bitter. As a dark roast it is almost entirely caffeine-free.
Our Dark Roast is suitable where the hojicha has to hold its flavour through freezing, baking or mixing into something sweet, such as gelato, ice cream, custards, pastries and bakes. For lattes and drinks, our Hojicha Powder "Kaori" is the better choice, as the Dark Roast comes through much heavier.

Step 2: Mix well, add ice for Iced Hojicha
