Japan is a green tea country and makes very little oolong, which makes this one uncommon even there. Ours is grown organically in Miyazaki, on Kyushu, and processed using traditional oolong methods.
It is rolled sencha style into a needle shape, with light steaming, rolling and drying. Leaving it unroasted keeps the aroma and freshness, and gives it a rich taste with a slight bitterness and a floral, fruity flavour.
